The French declare that Scientology is a fraud, legally.
Not current news, but it seems the French are moving in the right direction.
<--- that's a hyperlink
They've declared that Scientology isn't a religion... but is a fraudulent cult.
"PARIS, France — A French court has slapped a fraud sentence on the Church of Scientology, saying it targets vulnerable people for commercial gain. The ruling is a major setback for Scientologists in France, and it marks the first time here that the Church of Scientology has been convicted of organized fraud."
I would love to see Scientology and Mormonism get similar treatment here in the states....

Intro
So, I've never done the whole "blogging" thing before and I'm not even sure how long my decision to give it a try will last.
I've never felt like I had anything to say about a topic that other people would have and interest in reading.
However, over the last year or so, I've found myself deeply motivated and inspired by the whole "new atheist" movement. I sometimes feel like I have thoughts on the topic that I'd like to "get down on paper". However, the idea of keeping a journal strikes me as an ideal that's as archaic as a card catalog.... so here I am.
Not sure what direction I plan to take with this whole thing. It's all mostly for myself at this time.
